As summer is now in full swing and we try to find creative ways to escape this murderous heat, many of us are retreating to any form of aquatic paradise we can gain access too. Sitting out there by the pool and firing up the BBQ or getting down on some good ole fashion potato salad, you are going to need refreshments  and as the weekend rolls in put away the Michelob ultra and pop a cork, or unscrew the cap on some fermented grape juice! For those that can’t make the decision between white and red I have a solution, go pink! Specifically Rose, and no one, I mean no one can offer the historical excellence or the tasty lightness of the French. Monmousseau, Rose d’ Anjou, 2009

Checking in at 11% ABV the low alcohol is apparent, and the bright acid is offset by a hint of residual sugar, light bouquet of rose petals and fresh strawberry and followed by a watermelon and ripe strawberry preserves with a tone of white pepper, there is a lasting impression but overall just an easy drinker
