Cork it! magazine debuts to high praise

We couldn’t have asked for a better night to debut Cork it! magazine. A never ending supply of tasty food from Chef Ryan Trimm at Sweet Grass, wine so generously offered from our distributors, friends eager to cheer us on, and acquaintances wondering what the hoopla was all about. It was truly amazing and extremely rewarding to watch as people first caught sight of the Cork it! cover; to see them compelled to pick up the magazine and leaf through page after page of photographs, then become caught up in the varied articles. The best part of the night was looking at a packed room - and I mean standing room only, having to squeeze through, PACKED! Restaurant owners, chefs, wine experts and aficionados, close friends and some new friends, wine suppliers and retail sellers, all coming together to celebrate their passion for wine! To see competitors convivially talking shop and comparing notes over a glass, tasting what each offers their customers; wine newbie’s asking questions and experts telling some stories - this is what the wine community is all about. Not only a shared passion, but the ability to bring together people with different levels of expertise and varied backgrounds. To leave at the end of the night with a little more knowledge than when they arrived, with new friendships firmly acknowledged, and knowing there is always more wine out there to try, taste and debate, is what made Monday night a blast!

The words heard most often during the night? I had no idea it was going to look so good! I’m so exited for you! And then the inevitable and the highest praise of all - when will the next issue be out?
